There were fun & games, scissors and paper and wild imagination aplenty down at Greystones’ Mini Theatre on Friday and Saturday, as the Junior Art Gallery workshop centred around celebrated surrealist artist Salvador Dali got underway.
Surrealism is just another word for not recognising any of the rules, of course, and in this special two-day workshop, kids were free to do what kids do best – use their imagination. And so robots took shelter from raining eggs. And a great big blueberry detective trying to hide behind a floating cherry tree. I think.
Put together by the lovely Mathilde, this was the perfect way to spend a lazy, hazy, rain-speckled afternoon. If you’re interested in hosting an equally curious event in the Mini Theatre, it’s free. Details here.
