Greystones Culture Fest 2012

Having organised a very successful event at the harbour for Culture Night last year, Cllr. Gráinne Mc Loughlin has committed to organising a four day culture festival for the town in September. This will be a multi-disciplinary Arts Festival, but Gráinne is welcoming suggestions from the whole community for suggestions and ideas for the programming content.
“I am now looking for a team to work with me on the project and would welcome volunteers with an interest in various aspects of event management, including the programme, marketing, I.T., and operations to come on board and help me”, said Gráinne. Having had over 20 years experience with the Greystones Arts Festival, Gráinne has no doubt that this new festival for the town will very quickly become one of the most dynamic festivals for the county going forward. “… with the Gathering planned for 2013, it is important that we have a team in place to ensure that Greystones is part of Wicklow’s contribution to this important national celebration of our heritage and culture”
With Gourmet Greystones in May, The new Choral Festival in June, Americana Roots Festival in August and the Culture Festival in September – we will keep Greystones a bustling, thriving town throughout the year (and there are also plans for a Family Fest during the summer and hopefully Ladies Night Out will be back too!).
