Hats off – and a chunk of hair too, of course – to the wonderful Padmé Spurling, a local 11-year-old girl who has just donated her long, golden hair to the Little Princess Trust UK.
The charity aims to provide children who have lost their hair through alopecia or chemotherapy with real0 wigs – thanks to donations from kind-hearted souls such as Padmé.
Already inspired by such a gesture is Aisling down at Sin É Hair Salon in Charlesland, who did the chopping, and both Padmé and her mum hope that other children in the area with more hair than they actually need might be tempted to make a donation too.
Well done, Padmé. If your hair grows back, can you let us know how that’s done?
