Greystones Guide is proud to assist in the distribution of information about our town to both residents and the wider public. We believe people have the right to be fully informed regarding issues which affect their day-to-day lives and enjoyment of the town. Greystones has grown significantly in recent years and has quickly become a much sought after place of residence for people wishing to replace city-living for a more relaxed town environment while at the same time, keeping Dublin City just a short commute away.
In this regard, it is important that we continue to paint the town in the best possible light, not only to give the town the credit and exposure it deserves but also to promote the town from a tourism perspective. Certain issues have overshadowed this in recent years, none more so than the Harbour Development. Greystones Guide has provided a platform for the public and local elected officials to submit information that they deem to be pertinent in keeping the wider public up to date on the ongoing developments. We understand that this is a very emotive subject and that all parties involved have the best interest of the town at heart.
Due to the important nature of this issue, Greystones Guide will continue to provide this platform but with immediate effect, press releases which specifically target individuals or groups will not be published. The “Harbour Updates” section on the website will only include tangible updates on the progress of the Harbour Development. This, we believe, is of greater interest to the general public.
