Greystones man Sean Fenelon took on the rather incredible task of cycling solo from Vancouver to San Francisco – that’s 1,932km, distance fans – throughout the month of July, all to raise fund for Pieta House, the noted charity for suicide and self-harm prevention.
Sean had been deeply affected by the suicide of a loved one, and was inspired to get on his bike to raise some much-needed funds and awareness for this extremely important cause.
I made it! 24 days and 1960km later I crossed the golden gate bridge and into San Francisco. It’s been one of the most incredible experiences of my life, with a lot of ups and downs along the way. I met some awesome people and the trip exceeded my expectations ten times over. I’d like to thank everyone for the incredible support they’ve shown me, both through donations and kind words. Everyone’s generosity has been truly heart warming. Thank you all for being a part of this. I’m meeting Ely in the morning for our 3 week road trip. The adventure continues!
You can read more about Sean’s adventure on our earlier post here, which also has a donation button. Just like this one here.
