The future’s looking pretty darn bright for Greystones tech wiz Cathal O’Sullivan, who’s having something of a life-changing week…
On Wednesday, he was a key speaker at GradIreland’s Graduate Careers Fair in the RDS, and over the coming days, his game-changing GameX should be hitting the market.
And the guy’s barely a year out of college. And shorts.
I blame the parents. Dad Philip is former head chef at The La Touche Hotel and Greystones Golf Club, whilst mum is the rather well-known Grainne McLoughlin. So, over-achieving obviously runs in the family.
Having set up shop at the National Digital Research Centre, Cathal currently has five full-time employees, whilst there are 10 supergeeks working on the heralded GameX – Â a recommendation engine designed exclusively for the gaming industry.
With the crazy just about ready to kick off, we managed to grab Cathal for five minutes, to talk inspiration, business and dealing with the vertigo that comes with sudden acclaim and fame…
Naturally, technology let us down, with the interview suddenly ending, but, hey, we were getting bored anyway, so, all good. If you want to find out more about GameX, you can do so here. And if you’d like to work with GameX, they’re currently employing. You can get in email cathal@gamex.io.
