we heard it here first, kids – the 100% organic and sustainable clothing wizards YAWUW are coming to town.

The acronym standing for, of course, You Are What U Wear.

Believing in recycling and upcycling, the Cork-based Angela O’Donnell will be bringing her award-winning creations to JuJu in Greystones, just in time for de Christmas.

And top of the list is the YAWUW recycled wool throw.

Here’s the lowdown on the sheep of things to come…

Award-winning Irish designer Angela O’Donnell has launched a new 100% sustainable clothing and accessories brand called,
YAWUW.

“On the birth of my little girl I kept asking myself, ‘What will the world look like when she grows up?’,” says Angela. “The climate crisis will be one of the biggest issues of the next generation and the fashion industry is one of the worst culprits. As a clothing and product designer I knew that this was an area that I could create change and have a positive influence on.

“I want to be able to say to my daughter, we tried to make a difference to the world you will live in and succeed. At YAWUW, we only design and produce clothing and accessories made from 100% Organic, recycled or upcycled materials and ensure that they are ethically produced.”

With 15+ years experience in design and business, Angela has brought her expertise to this brand and over the last 2 years, she has done extensive work in developing clothing and accessory products that are only made from the above materials. The results of her hard work in YAWUW’s innovative product line are now coming to fruitition.

Since launching one of their key accessory pieces, a throw made from 100% Recycled Wool, it has become a beloved item for her customers and now for the customers of the retailers that YAWUW has partnered with.

One of them being, none other than JuJu in Greystones.

JuJu is now stocking YAWUW’s No.1 best-selling product, the 100% recycled wool throw. Each throw prevents 1,620 metres of wool from entering our landfills.

We intercept wool that is en route to a landfill, take it and remake it into our 100% Recycled wool throws, making each batch of throws is unique.

YAWUW also plants one tree for every throw purchased and have a goal to prevent 1,000,000 metres of wool from entering our landfills by the end of 2023!
