ou know how it is, the parents are busy getting their morning Cove fix and Instagram pics whilst their beloved offspring is left shivering on the rocks.
How come junior doesn’t get a dry robe to snuggle up in as that fine Greystones summer wind whistles through their rattling bones?
That’s a thought that Paul Callaghan up at Schoolwear House in the Tesco Shopping Centre felt he could do something about. And so, he did.
“When we looked into the robes being made,” he explains, “we quickly realised that all the established brands only catered for adults. Which, given that kids love the water even more than their parents around here, just seemed crazy to us. So, we came up with the Wild Waves Robe, catering not only to adults but to children too.
“Given that the Irish climate isn’t exactly continental, even at the height of summer, these will keep young and old warm and snug all year round.”
Makes sense to us. Full length, fleece-lined, water resistant and windproof, the Wild Waves Robe is €65 for kids size and €95 for adult.
And you can check them out up at Paul’s Schoolwear House and neighbouring Trendy Toes, or go indulge online right about here.
