The line-up may change year by year, but the sterling work of the Greystones Cancer Support gang goes on and on.

And they’re just one of eight Wicklow charities who have been given a little gift of thanks by AIB.

With €200,000 divided nationwide by the banking giant’s 200 branches, the AIB Together fund has resulted in eight Wicklow charities being gifted some very welcome moolah…

As well as the aforementioned Greystones Cancer Support, also receiving some funding were Meals On Wheels, Loaves & Fishes, WH Five Loaves, Bray Lakers, The Gavin Glynn Foundation, Wicklow Cancer Support and Wicklow Hospice.

The Wicklow, Wexford and Carlow AIB family, said its head, Gaye O’Donnell, are “proud to be part of the AIB Together Community Programme, where we donated €11,000 to 25 local charities right across the three counties.”

AIB are also launched a fundraising initiative to further support communities impacted by Covid-19, teaming up with their long-standing community partners FoodCloud and Soar, plus Alone and Pieta House, where staff can fundraise or donate directly, and the bank will match the fund total.

The goal set is €1m in fundraising, which the bank will double. More than €337,000 has been raised so far this way.
