Windmills Of Your MindFebruary 3, 2020
It is, of course, the greatest natural contraception known to man and chicken, and yet, there are those who love themselves a bit of banjo.
Well, you may want to get your hillbilly ass along to the Harbour Bar later this month, for their annual Banjo & Bovril trad & folk festival at the end of January.
Here’s der spiegel…
The Banjo & Bovril Festival is a revival of an old tradition Paul O’Toole Senior pioneered years ago; when short winter days were ended in the bar with a little banjo playing and some steaming cups of hot Bovril. Over the past years, the festival has welcomed Paddy Casey, Seamus Fogarty, Mick Flannery, David Kitt, I Draw Slow, Mundy, The Eskies, Caoímhin Ó Raghallaigh, to name a few.
Nice. Running from Wednesday, January 22nd to Sunday 26th, all shows are free. And easy. And include a full bar.
You can check out The Harbour Bar website for further details. As for our off-menu cover shot, we’re pushing for a Moog & Marmite festival.
