hen it comes to understanding this world, and our place in it, there’s nothing like a little outside perspective.
Which is where having a young, bright-eyed foreign visitor staying in your house comes in kinda handy.
Those lovely people at SEK International School are putting the call out to families in Greystones and the surrounding towns who would be interested in hosting one of their jet-setting students – and earn a whopping great €700 per 28 days in the process.
Here’s de spiel…
If you live in the Greystones, Delgany, Kilcoole or Bray (South) area, you might be interested in hosting an international student from September to December (1 term) or September to June (full academic year).
Students have a good level of English, they attend school 5 days per week – and most Saturdays. Lunch is provided in school (Mon-Fri) and all of their transport needs are catered for. Students range in age from 11 to 18, with 11-year-old boys and girls being their largest co-hort.
If you have a child or children at home, close or within this age range, and can offer a comfortable bedroom with a desk and clothes storage, why not take the opportunity to broaden your family’s cultural horizons? You could forge a lasting friendship and earn €700 per month tax free.
Naturally, it helps if your family are pretty good at English.
