Demesne Dining Is Back

Oran Colhoun & Darryl Haynes on the road…

ith their Easter weekend pop-up proving a mighty success, Greystones chef buddies Oran Colhoun and Darryl Haynes have decided to make Belmont Demesne their new home.

Which means that there will be award-winning food in some of Wicklow’s most spectacular surrounds right on our doorstep.

“We had a blast over that Easter weekend,” says Oran, “and we both just knew, we’ve got to do this again. And again…”

“And when the opportunity then arose to make Belmont Demesne a more permanent base,” adds Darryl, “we just jumped at the chance. Such an incredible setting to serve food is what every chef dreams of…”

And the lads have organised a rather kick-ass June to celebrate, with a BBQ on Bank Holiday Monday June 5th from 12pm to 5pm, their Grand Opening on Saturday 10th (complete with live music, BBQ and face painting), also from 12pm to 5pm, a Bloomsday Family BBQ on Friday 16th from 5pm to 9pm, The Barn X Chamber Whiskey 6-course tasting menu paired with 5 whiskeys on Saturday 17th, a Father’s Day Sunday lunch on Sunday 18th and, hey, Date Night from 7pm on Thursday 29th, complete with outdoor movie and BBQ.

Outside of all that monkey business, it’s all systems yum, The Barn At Belmont being open Monday and Tuesdays from 11am to 3pm for coffee & cakes, Wednesday to Sunday 11am to 3pm for Grab & Go, lunch menu Wednesday to Saturday from 12pm to 4m, and Sundays for lunch, 12pm to 4pm.

“We’ll be adding more and more special events over the summer,” says Darryl, “and we’ll be catering for communions, confirmations, funerals, birthdays, weddings, divorces – whatever your big day is, we’ll make it bigger.”

And the good news is, when you’re dining with the boys, parking is free.
