Benny Taglienti Has Passed

man it was impossible not to like, sadly, Benny Taglienti left us today…

That familiar face behind Jokers’ counter, or whizzing by on one of his beloved motorbikes was always a happy one.

Even when he was diagnosed with Motor Neuron disease in August 2017, the man held on to his trademark smile. And was soon whizzing by on his electric wheelchair.

Benny Taglienti, late of Kilcoole and formerly of Greystones, Co. Wicklow and Settefrati, Italy, passed away after a long illness on 12th June, 2021, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Carol, cherished Dad of Lisa, Sabrina and Nadia, adored Nonno of Emiliah, Noah, Lucan, Julian, Vienna and Angelo, dearly loved brother of Enrico, Adriano, Aqui, Enio and the late Adelino. He will be sadly missed by all his family, relatives and a wide circle of friends.

The wake is Monday 14th from 9am to 5pm at Colliers Funeral Home, the funeral service, limited to 50 people, will take place in the same place on Tuesday (15th May) at 11.00am followed by burial in Redford Cemetery, Blacklion, Greystones. The service may be viewed online here. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, can be made online to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Carol and their beautiful daughters, Lisa, Sabrina and Nadia, and all of Benny’s family and friends. Buon viaggio, fratello.
