‘Twas joy to the world, and all that swaddling, outside SuperValu today on Greystones’ main street as a hearty gang of carol singers let rip on all the Yuletide classics.
The occasion was some fundraising for the mighty Lakers, the Bray-based social and recreational club for those with special needs.
Everyone was in fine spirits, and voice, as the mist lifted to reveal a surprisingly sunny Christmas Eve eve.
The morning started with the Greystones Folk Choir at 11am, followed by the Bray Gospel Choir, Serendipity, the Bray Choral Society and, finally, Friends Of Lakers, under the direction of Lucy O’Connell.
Most impressive of all, €4,772.17 was raised on the day.
And our man with the camera, John McGowan, was on hand to capture all the shiny, happy people.
