Yep, having been saved from that persistent rain by being brought inside a warm, cosy home for the past few weeks, it’s right about now that the little tinsel-covered tree in the corner learns that, yep, it’s only just for Christmas.
The annual Christmas Tree Shredding will take place down at the South Beach car park, and you can leave your unloved forest friend down there from the Monday January 6th to Saturday 18th.
Just don’t, you know, leave any other decorations down there. Such as baubles.
And plastic wreaths.
And fake plastic trees. Or even real plastic trees.
The local council had quite a lot of nonsense to dig through in 2017, as it happens.
At the time of going to press, no unwelcome relatives are allowed down at the recycling either.
