ebruary’s stand-off between Shoreline and the Greystones & Kilcoole Community Garden committee over the latter’s veggie patch would appear to be settled.
The committee felt one way, Shoreline another, but, thankfully, the twain have met.
And sorted out the wheatgrass from the chavs.
Today, The Garden posted the following on their social media…
We are so pleased to report that a collaborative agreement has been reached this week between our community and Shoreline Greystones that allows us to stay and grow together again this year!
Thank you to all our members, the garden committee, Shoreline, Wicklow County Council, Simon Harris TD, Cllr. Lourda Scott, Greystones Municipal District, Cllr Jodie Neary, Bray People, East Coast FM, Delgany Tidy Towns, Kilcoole Tidy Towns, Greystones Tidy Towns, Community Gardens Ireland, the Greystones Guide and many others in the community and council for supporting us!
Together we made this beautiful outcome bloom.
We are so happy to be able to reopen this year as planned and cross-pollinate our communities through collaboration!
Hippy fecknuts, putting the Guide last on their long and wobbly lick-arse list.
Still, it’s a happy ending, and we’ll take as many of those as we can get these days.
