A bunch of St David’s Secondary School TY students took part in the VHI Virtual Mini Marathon, and in doing so, raised some valuable funds for a local charity.
Well, when we say ‘a local charity’, we should say, the local charity, given that it’s the mighty Greystones Cancer Support.
Naturally, all at the latter’s La Touche Place HQ are excited and delighted.
Just how much these fine students raised by running circles around their hometown we haven’t discovered yet.
Whatever amount of moolah it was, taking part in the marathon on behalf of GCS shows true soul. And rubber soles.
You can find out more about Greystones Cancer Support here, and about another local GCS fundraiser just off St David’s seafront here.
