The Delgany Guild Irish Countrywomen’s Association have been forging bonds, making plans and baking delicious scones – well, Tess Byrne has – for far too many years for a gentleman to reveal.
And their great work will continue this year after their summer break, and the main committee members are released from prison.
Taking place on every Thursday at St Patrick’s Parish Centre, the ICA gang have a finger in every apple pie, from crafts and jewellery to drama, sports, swimming, talks, demonstrations, day trips, competitions, golf and, most importantly, gossip.
The fun kicks off at 2pm, and the gardaí usually arrive around 10pm. So, have your escape route, and your alibi, ready.
