Wind Beneath Your WhingeMay 20, 2020
Planning Greystones Post-LockdownMay 22, 2020
As the lockdown lift continues, more and more of our great escapes are coming out of hibernation.
And the latest is one of the finest, Belmont Demesne up on Windgates Hill reopening its door on Friday, June 5th.
So, you can fill those lung with fresh air once again, and that belly with some yummy takeaway treats and coffee.
Here’s the lowdown…
Over the last few weeks we’ve been working hard behind the scenes, getting ready to open our doors again in the safest way possible. We’re delighted to say that we’ll be open from Friday 5th June, just in time for the summer. In line with government recommendations it will be a phased approach. You’ll be able to enjoy all our walking trails on foot and get your favourite treats at Bak’d Outdoors, our temporary Grab & Go outdoor café with plenty of outside seating in the beautiful Walled Garden.
We’re also very excited to announce that our bike trails will be open soon too. And the best bit is they will be free! In the meantime, bike hire will still be available through FatBike Adventures. And don’t forget the Bike Shop is open for retail and repairs too.
We’re in the process of modifying and adding to the trails so there’ll be even more of the gorgeous outdoors to explore. From June there will be a small entry fee of €3 per car for parking. This will go directly to the maintenance and upkeep of all the trails. Pedestrians and bikers on wheels go free.
You can find out more about Belmont Demesne on their website here, check out their map here, catch a little history to the place here, and find out what Elvis reckons on that café here.
