Over to Rebecca…
You may have noticed an increase in focus on violence against women recently in both traditional and social media.
As we know, with Covid 19 and its restrictions there has been a significant increase in calls to domestic violence helplines and greater pressure on the services available. We are currently working with Bray Women’s Refuge to host an outreach clinic in our centre. This will run every Friday, from 10am to 1pm, increasing from once a month.
Bray Women’s Refuge offer a number of supports to the Greystones community which as well as this clinic include:
• 24-hour Helpline at 012866163, seven days a week for confidential advice and support
• Safety Planning
• Outreach Services
• Court Accompaniment
To attend the clinic, please get in touch with them on their 24-hour number 012866163 or 0850597560to organise a meeting with their outreach worker. The clinics are also at Little Bray (every second Monday), Oldcourt (every second Monday), Wicklow Town (Thursdays) and Arklow (Tuesdays), all from 10am to 1pm.
