Following the outcry across Wicklow over the crappy new bus – and Dart – timetables, local councillors are taking on the good fight to restore some kind of sense and sanity to our public transport.
The latest to go into battle is Tom Fortune, who has managed to secure a few changes to the new Dublin Bus schedule.
Take it away, Tom…
Following my meeting with Dublin Bus at the end of October, they confirmed to me this morning that they have made the changes I discussed with them re: the 84 service.
The 7.20 am out of Newcastle will be restored and will also service Kilcoole’s Sea Road. There will be a bus out of Newcastle in the afternoon which will service Colaiste Croabh Abhann. There will be a bus out of Bray at 15.20pm which will service Temple Carrig School. There will be a bus out of Bray at 7.10am to Newcastle, which will service workers and school children into Kilcoole. All of these changes and the times will be up on Dublin Bus website either this evening or tomorrow.
Boom! We’ll keep you posted of any further successful exorcisms of these new timetables as soon as they happen.
