Wicklow TD Minister Simon Harris has this morning announced that Government will be providing €3,450,000 for a project that will deliver a public transport bridge across River Dargle linking Bray Golf lands to Bray Town Centre.
Speaking as he made the announcement, “I am absolutely delighted to announce this very significant funding of €3,450,000 for urban regeneration and development of Bray. Government is this morning providing €3,450,000 through the Urban Regeneration and Development Fund for the development of a public transport bridge linking the lands around Bray Golf Club with Bray town centre. This will be a significant improvement for the Bray community and is one that I know that it will be very welcome.”
Minister Harris continued, “This fund, the Urban Regeneration and Development Fund, as part of Ireland 2040, is the largest regeneration initiative in Ireland for many decades and will be a major driving force behind the rejuvenation of our rural towns. I want to compliment Wicklow County Council who have worked hard on the application for this funding.
“I was delighted to work with them to secure this funding.”
