t hit Greystones with a crash, bang, barbeque back in 2016, but it wasn’t until last year the al fresco Street Feast hit town again.

And, as always with a very, very good, thing, it’s always worth the wait.

For 2023, this annual Eat Out To Meet Out is on Sunday, June 25th, when this national day of community lunches gives neighbours a good excuse to raise a glass or two.

Say the organisers, it’s all about building community and tackling isolation. Which is no bad thing, given the two years of lockdown limbo that has left many people stuck in hibernation mode.

Get together with your neighbours to share food and enjoy some conversation and camaraderie this summer. It doesn’t matter if you live in an apartment or house, all you need is a space to bring people together. We have had feasts organised in front gardens, on streets and greens, in car parks, laneways, local parks and community centres and can’t wait to see what you come up with!
