nother sad departure for Greystonians this week, as news reaches us that Feena O’Driscoll has passed.
The family home at the top of Hillside Road has long been one of the town’s most beautiful and inviting houses, even before the neighbouring Hillside estate hoovered up their horse field.
Here’s the official announcement from local undertaker Mark Kinsella…
Fiadna (Feena) O’Driscoll of Greystones, Co. Wicklow and Toulouse, France, January 5th, 2021, peacefully, at the home of her sister in Two Mile Borris, Co. Tipperary.
Predeceased by her father Dr. Alec, & and her darling husband and soulmate Douglas. Deeply regretted by her loving mother Sylvia, brother Fionán, sisters Derarca, Brona and Dara, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, special godsons Pierce & Danny, her much-loved nieces and nephews, her many cousins that she loved deeply and her lifelong friends from Greystones, Ardfert, Rome, USA & France.
As a meaningful expression of thanks to all our frontline workers and especially those working in health care, and in view of the sharp increase in Covid-19 cases throughout the country, Feena’s family request that the house and ceremony are kept strictly private. The family understand that while people would like to be able to sympathise with them in person it would be against Government guidelines and dangerous for all.
Ceremony to celebrate Feena’s life, in the Victorian Chapel Mount Jerome Crematorium, on Thursday January 7th at 10am which can be viewed by clicking on the webcam link here.
Sincere thanks to GP Dr Kevin Delargy, North Tipperary Hospice, Milford Palliative Care Centre and HSE Primary Care for their wonderful care. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to North Tipperary Hospice.
