Get happy. You mug.
t’s a sign of just popular the Plaza Market has become in Greystones that
even before the doors opened on this drizzly Saturday morning, there was a queue.
A feckin’ queue. In the rain. For a market.
To be fair, this Christmas At The Plaza is clearly a very big cut above your
average market, a fact that made its debut one of Greystones’ biggest weekend draws over the summer.
And now, the Greystones Tidy Towns gang, along with Siobhan Stack and hubby Brendan, have outdone themselves with a marquee big enough to fit an entire Christmas village into.
Which is basically what they’ve done.
There are so many stalls, in fact, that there’s an overspill to the original market spot, across the road at The Boat Yard.
And that’s not all – the stalls will change day by day, weekend by weekend.
Which all means, no matter how many times you swing by, sure, you’ll never know who or what you might find.
Open from 11.30am to 5.30pm down at Greystones Harbour every Saturday and Sunday till December 23rd, congrats to all those behind the scenes for making such a perfect winter wonder poundland for our festive season.
