Glenergy are recruiting for an exciting role as a Service Technician.
We sell and service a range of High-Quality Heat Pumps, CHP (Combined Heat & Power) and Solar solutions to business and domestic customers. Full training and technical support required to carry out the role will be provided
Duties and responsibilities: In this role, the successful candidate will have the following responsibilities: • Responsibility to incorporate all aspects of the company’s values in the fulfilment of your role. • Carry out assignments in line with statutory & legislative requirements, Health & safety requirements, appliance standards & codes of practice. • Responsibility for the maintenance, repair, and commissioning of a full range of equipment. • Deliver great service to customers whilst working on equipment. E.g., Heat Pumps, Solar Thermal & CHP. • Ensure all customer equipment is in perfect working order, efficient and effective. • Travel within Ireland but mostly Leinster based. • Collaborate with colleagues and management, as necessary. • Manage callouts to customer facilities. • Escalate to direct report of risk items. • Ensure that all customer facilities and services are made available within the requirements of the contract specification and ensure assets are operating effectively. Liaise with specialists and suppliers in relation to industry and manufacturing requirements. • Ensure Continuous Professional Development & mentor direct reports.
Ideally Candidates will have the following but not a requirement: • 2 years plus experience in Service Technician role or similar (Plumber for example). • Strong analytical skills, problem solving, diagnostic & ability to think on feet and meticulous attention to detail. • Self-contained and the ability to work alone on some assignments. • Good Documentation practice. • Excellent communication both verbal and written including influencing and problem-solving skills. • Strong leadership, people management skills and the ability to communicate at all levels, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders. • Ability to read and interpret schematics & drawings. • Electrical and mechanical building service experience. • Professional certificates are desirable. • Familiarity with the use of PC based tools. (Word, excel, etc.). • Full clean driver’s license. • EU Work Permit. • Fluency in English both verbal and written.
