With an introduction by Cllr Lourda Scott, MEP Grace O’Sullivan will be hosting a public meeting at The Horse & Hound next Wednesday.
This free event is open for all to attend.
Grace sits as a full member of the European Parliament’s Environmental, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI) Committee, and has in her first term acted as the Lead Negotiator / Rapporteur on the European Union’s 8th Environment Action Programme. Grace also works on the Parliament’s Committee on Fisheries (PECH), and as Marine Spokesperson for the Green Party, she is committed to a more sustainable fishing model and cleaner seas and oceans for all to enjoy.
Previous to her political life, Grace was an environmental activist, traveling from the Arctic to Polynesia with Greenpeace, working on animal welfare, anti-pollution measures and nuclear safety. In 1985, she worked onboard the Rainbow Warrior, which was bombed by French Foreign Intelligence Services when protesting the testing of nuclear weapons in the South Pacific
In this intimate evening, Grace wishes to share her own story, her work in the European Parliament since 2019, and to hear from constituents on their issues and concerns going forward. All are welcome.
Registration is not required. The meeting will commence at 8pm at The Horse & Hound on Wednesday, September 21st, with refreshments provided.
