Yep, make no mishtake, they’re a feisty, fiery bunch, the Greystones Active Retirement Association.

And they’re plainly still full of a certain lust for life if their attitude above to the Grim Reaper is anything to go by.

Such as, every Monday, Aqua Aerobics at Shoreline Leisure Centre, from 12pm to 1pm, Keep Fit from 1pm to 1.45pm and Art at 2.30pm, both at Kilian House; Bowls at Kilian House on Tuesdays at 10.30am and Thursdays at 2.30pm; Bingo at Kilian House on Tuesdays at 2.30pm

There’s also the monthly get together coffee mornings, on the last Fridays, 10.30am, Kilian House.

The feckers have a busy 2020 too, with an outing to Pavilions Shopping Centre in sunny Swords on February 12th (bus leaves Holy Rosary at 10am; cost €25); a trip to Dáil Eireann (including lunch) on February 25th (bus leaving at 11.30am; cost €30); a theatre outing to The Mousetrap at The Gaiety in April (bus leaving 1pm; cost €48; date to be confirmed); a tea dance at the Parkview Hotel on April 4th, 2.30pm to 5.30pm (cost €7.50); a five-day trip to Kerry, from April 13th to 17th (€379pp sharing/€80 single supplement), and a six-day holiday abroad to Austrian Tyrol in September, €995pp sharing/€30 per night single supplement/non-refundable €200 deposit by 18th February).

For all bookings – and membership – you can pop along to St Kilian Family House Centre on Tuesday mornings, between 10.30am and 11.30am. Alternatively, you can email the gang on greystonesgara@gmail.com, or phone Alice Quinn on 0868639433 or Sean on 0868050741.
