ep, we’re a prolific lot, us Greystonians, with every new year throwing up a whole new batch of sprightly, spirited and, of course, spectacular sprogs.
And that must be why our annual search for Greystones’ Most Beautiful Baby is so dang popular.
In 2015, the cute cupid that is Keyarra Bigler romped home with the prize, her proud-as-punch parents Stephen and Joanna pretty darn happy withtheir covetedcutie pie certificate.
In 2016, it was the serene Olivia Goggin who toddled away with the prize, with the proud parents this time being Grace and Karl.
The following year, it was the fiery Isaac Horan, a baby with enough happy to power the entire country, followed by those faraway eyes of the enigmatic Jason Fawcett, the cuteness overload that is the irresistible Isobelle Flaherty. and a baby who was very glad to be Ré.
And now the search is on for Greystones Most Beautiful Baby 2022. Could it be your little oval-faced offspring? Your chubby little cherub?
The criteria is simple enough – the little critter has to be on this planet no earlier than January 1st, 2021. So, still a baby, but, just about ready for their first strong cup of coffee.
Fittingly, our sponsor for our bonny baby competition is Fiona Roche Pharmacy, the iconic Blacklion chemists that has helped many an expectant mum and bouncing baby through any coughs and wobbles.
“It’s always fascinating to see a family grow over the years, as they come through out doors,” says Fiona. “To be a part of all those changes, to witness someone go from buggy to bike and beyond, it’s such a wonderful feeling. And a privilege.”
As well as the power and the glory of this most magnificent of titles for a baby, we’ve also lined up a night out for two at The Whale for the lucky winners this year. So the parents can get the hell away from that little sprog for one glorious night.
BOOM! Another year, another wave of rockin’ babies. Send your entries to firstname.lastname@example.org, including date of birth and, of course, name.
Actually, scratch that – competition is now closed. We’ll have de winner at the weekend. Once we’ve counted up the feckin’ thousands of votes…
