A Year Of GoodbyesDecember 25, 2020
veryone know it was going to be a little different this year when it came to the Greystones Christmas Day Swim.
There were some who weren’t even sure if it should go ahead, given that Bray’s annual New Year’s Day Swim was cancelled.
Thankfully, the weather was on our side, and the fact that our seafront is a pretty big space, socially-distanced Greystonians came out in their bubble droves – and their dry robes – to take their Christmas Day splash at The Cove, The South Beach and a few of those mini-beaches inbetween.
Heck, the feckers even kept that social distance when they were in the water too.
Clearly, Christmas, love and whiskey was in the air, and sure, aren’t we all beautiful creatures around here too. If you’ve got it, flaunt it and then dip it.
And there to catch it all, as always, was our #1 roving photographer, the bould John McGowan.
