t might have something to do with the lockdown, but there was a ridiculous amount of stunning entries to our annual Greystones’ Most Beautiful Baby competition.
Of course, all that sea air, healthy food, happy hikes and organic, free range living might have something to do with it too.
What also became very apparent to us early on was just how strong a parent’s love can be for their child.

Hey, every baby is the most beautiful in the world – it’s just that some parents feel the need to make their particular sprog’s #1 status official.
That said, it was a tough call this year, given the cuteness overload involved, but, in the end, the irresistible Isobelle Flaherty pipped the competition to the post.
Congrats to mum Sarah and dad Robbie, who picked up their framed cert this rainy Saturday afternoon, and who will be making good use of their winning prize – a €50 voucher for a fine night out in The Whale – as soon as Greystones’ much-missed nightlife kicks back into action.
Babies may not be quite as precious and lovable as pooches, but, hey, at least they don’t pee on the furniture. Eventually.
