kay, so it’s not officially a dog park, but, ever since Charlesland Golf Club shut its doors on January 1st, it’s been pooch heaven for Greystonians.
As the deafening silence about its failure and its future grows ever louder – no one down there is talking – the closure angered members of the club.
And delighted those looking for a great big stretch of green around here to walk their dog.
Great big stretches of green having now become a rare-verging-on-religious sight in Greystones.
As mum and dad battle it out over the custody of the millions involved here, we have reached out to the nice half – the Evans family – to find out what the plan might be for the prime property that is Charlesland Golf Club, but, so far, nada.
Beyond the odd shape-throwing comment on our social media posts from rogue soldier, Christopher.
In the meantime, like the golfers, Greystones’ dog owners will have to head elsewhere for that grand stretch in the mornings, the afternoons or evenings.
If we do hear anything from the Evans side – or the dark side – we’ll let you know.
