The town of Greystones was missing some of its fiercest warrior women
today, as Dublin’s annual fundraising mini-marathon called them into action.
From the Gavin Glynn Foundation and the Wicklow Hospice, from Greystones Cancer Support to Triple A Alliance, money was raised for many a worthy charity this afternoon.
Big congrats to all the sweaty lovelies here, and to everyone behind the scenes who pulled all these warring groups together for the big Bank Holiday Monday run. Over 30,000 runners in total took part, and an
estimated €8m was raised.
And even bigger thanks, of course, to those who donated money for the big day. When we have the figures, we’ll let you know, but, given just how many wonderful Greystones runners there were there today, we reckon it’s going to be a pretty wonderful amount of money raised too…
