ith a whole batch of new Greystones paintings on the way, Helen at Hairy Fruit Art is one busy woman.

Especially given that her groovy greeting cards have been flying out the door.

And into letterboxes all over de world.

“In March of last year, as lockdown kicked in,” explains Helen, “the greeting cards just took on a whole new lease of life. It was like everyone on the planet just decided to send cards to one another. It just goes to show that people really need one another, especially when you’re each marooned in your own little nest.”

With stockists all over the country, from Flemings in Monaghan and Adonis Flower Designers in Dublin to The National Gallery and Kilruddery, Hairy Fruit Art’s cards, prints, kitchen accessories and beyond are reaching more and more people. And there’s always online, of course, with not only the Hairy Fruit Art online shop but Etsy too.

“My kids card collection is coming together nicely too,” continues Helen, “and I’m adding new designs all the time. And when I’m not busy with the greeting cards, I’m just about finished a new range of Greystones prints too. They’ll be on my website soon, as well as, of course, down in The Boat Yard Gallery at the harbour.”
