Throughout the year, Halfway Up The Stairs has been putting the kettle on for a whole busload of fine writers, illustrators and smarty-pants creators as they swing by the Greystones bookshop to read their latest offerings. And inspire a new generation.

Here’s the latest lowdown, straight from the bookseller’s mouth…

On Monday, December 4th, you’re invited to join Halfway plus authors and illustrators Sarah Bowie, Rachel Chivers Khoo, Patricia Forde, Matt Goodfellow, SF Said, Deirdre Sullivan and Sarah Webb as they unveil the Books Of The Year 2023. An online event, you can book your ticket here – which automatically gives you 10% off online purchases that evening too.

Unsurprisingly, for any of the bookshop author visits, children must be accompanied by an adult at all events. Otherwise, it’s just a dirt-cheap childminding service.
