ray Recycling Centre’s annual amnesty for our old mattresses is this year being left to Arklow and Baltinglass.
Taking place on August 7th at the former and 21st at the latter, there is a limit of three mattresses per vehicle.
The time for both dates is 2.30pm to 5pm, with no mattresses being accepted outside of those times.
The collection is carried out by a private contractor on behalf of Wicklow County Council.
We got in touch with the Bray depot to ask why they’re not involved this year, and apparently it’s all down to WCC budgets. Similar to the hazardous waste collections, it’s on a rota – the south and west of the county this year, with the east again next year.
