he’s come a long way, baby, over the past few years, local artist Helen Magee moving far beyond her cute-as-a-cnaipe greeting cards and gifts to exploring just where a large canvas can take her.

Lucky for us, it’s been largely to the waters and the wilds all around here.

With stunning oil paintings of everything from the Irish Sea to the Drummin trees, young Magee has shown us our world in a whole new light.

Which is why you might want to check out the lady’s pop-up exhibition at The Boat Yard Gallery on Saturday, June 1st and Sunday 2nd.

The theme is local landscapes and flora, and if the weather doesn’t prove to be too Irish, the exhibition will be fittingly al fresco too.
