It’s the icing on the cake, the cherry on top, as this year’s Strip & Dip raises a whopping great €502,183.02.
With a world record-breaking 5,025 brave women have bared all on a Wicklow beach in June, the fact that over half a million has been raised in the fight of that fecker cancer is yet another incredible achievement for this annual event.
Started by Deirdre Featherstone five years ago, the wittily-titled Kicking The Shite Out Of Cancer charity has grown and grown.
Mainly because everyone involved has been dancing cheek-to-cheeky-cheek.
The money raised this year will go to Aoibheann’s Pink Tie, the charity formed in 2010 by Jimmy Norman in memory of his beloved little girl.
So, congrats to everyone involved, and everyone who turned up on that fateful, and mercifully sunny, June morning. The fight – and the fun – goes on…
