There was a distinct air of a pilgrimage going on at the Sugar Loaf this fine Stephen’s Day, as hundreds upon hundreds of happy trekkers headed for that peak.
It may not have been quite Croagh Patrick, but there was a strong sense of souls being cleansed of that crappy Christmas Day rain and a full day of having to smile at annoying relatives.
Unsurprisingly, given the sheer numbers out today, it only took a few steps forward to bump into a fellow Greystonian, from the cuddly Swann-McFall clan to the mighty Maite Zuzaeta.
Even Max got to see a few familiar faces, such as the Finans’ horny and highly persistent little fecker.
It was like a home away from home…
Yep, it felt good to climb The Sugar Loaf today, shaking off all that festive funk and basking in the glow of a sunny winter’s day and the sheer unadulturated, undiluted and understated freedom of it all…
