ake one look at Laura Wood, and the last thing you’re going to think is, hey, that woman needs to get fitter…
Because, let’s be honest, the Freshly Squeezed tonic is pretty darn perfect as she is.
But hey, the woman with the come-to-bed eyes and the husky come-to-Vegas voice has her mind, and her body, set on a new challenge – Laura Wood is going to get Fit For 40.
Teaming up with professional trainer Leigh Hillen from Motive8 and nutritionist Gillian McConnell from Inside Out, Laura has already been training hard, and learning all about the food that’s right for her as part of H.I.I.T. – which stands for High Intensity Interval Training.
For those who want to go a grade higher, Super High Intensity Interval Training is available. But you have to wear the abbreviated logo on your tracksuit at all times for that one.
For those interested in finding out what this fitness regime is all about, Laura will be sharing her experiences not only on her Fit For 40 blog, but also with the great unwashed next Monday, October 10th, at the Shoreline Leisure Centre in Greystones.
The fun get-together is happening from 7pm to 7.45pm, and it’s a free event, with donations kindly accepted for The Gavin Glynn Foundation.
We caught up with Laura this morning as she hit the Shoreline gym once again to find out how best to avoid being totally Saggy For 60….
You can find out more about Fit For 40 here, and read Laura’s frank and funny blog right here. Or you can just skip all that sweat and effort, and donate directly to The Gavin Glynn Foundation here.
