hanks to a certain Disney movie being shot somewhere around these here parts right now, the magic of make-believe is clearly in the air.
Some kids want to be princesses, others zombies, or rockers, or ravers, or maybe a cowboy, or a clown, or even – gulp! – the one and lonely Peter Andre.
Yep, today’s younger generation have learnt how to dream big, and widescreen, and helping them find their place in the spotlight is the acclaimed Junior Musicals Theatre School.
And they just happen to have three fine summer camps hitting sunny Greystones this July and August.
Typically, two of those camps – July 12th to 16th and August 9th to 13th – sold out before this article was even finished, so a third Greystones gathering at St Patrick’s National School, running from July 5th to 9th, has just been added.
Where you might just find yourself mingling with Princess Giselle’s new buddies, a trio of Junior Musicals students having recently shot some scenes for Disenchantedup in sunny Enniskerry. That other pupils of the school have just recorded songs for the world-famous Secret Garden’s Christmas album gives you some idea of the fun being had here.
With the camps divided into groups of 4-7-years and 8-14-years, and running from 2pm to 5pm daily, all arts & crafts materials are supplied. There’s a 10% discount for siblings too, the full five-day camp costing just €99 – bookable right about here. And if those Greystones dates don’t suit, there’s also Bray, from August 9th to August 13th – bookable here.
