daily grind will be firmly split in three.
A home office away from home, a place to go without distractions, free from blaring afternoon TV, tipping-point kids and nasty sideways glances in the hallway.
Having just been recognised by the Irish government as the way work is headed in this country with a handy chunk of funding, Wicklow Hub over in Newtown Mount Kennedy was actually born out of lockdown.
And so we decided to stick with this new plan – which meant I was left with a pretty shiny new office space to play with. And that’s when Wicklow Hub was born, for those many people caught between not being able to work from home and those dreading a return to the long commute. Here, they’re getting the best of both worlds…”
And there can’t be many work spaces where you can indulge in a little blue sky thinking by watching the sheep grazing outside your window. Or a quick round of pitch & putt – or, what the heck, a barbeque – on the roof garden.
Currently with a capacity for 25 people, from September Wicklow Hub will move from from offering a monthly rental to also having a weekly option, alongside the introduction of Share A Desk, where that the week can be divided up between family or work colleagues who just need a few days at the coalface.Â
