Funding Secured For Kilcoole Mass PathAugust 23, 2017
Open to boys and girls, the Katie Taylor Third Level Bursary has proven to be a major boost to some young sports star’s early steps.
This annual sports scholarship of €1,500 per year was established for people who have excelled and displayed dedication and potential in their chosen sport, and who are also undertaking an undergraduate degree course in any academic field.
The bursary will be awarded for a period of three years, or for four, with the approval of Wicklow County Council, providing always that funding is available. It is there primarily for persons who may not be in a position to undertake a course of study, because of economic, social or other disadvantage.
This fine gesture was established by Wicklow County Council in 2013 to mark Bray’s most famous daughter winning gold in boxing at the London Olympics 2012.
Closing date is September 20th, and you can find out more about the bursary here. Better still, for application forms and info, call Lisa or Aisling on 040420100 or email email@example.com.
