Are you retired or looking for important, interesting local voluntary work?

Do you live in or near Delgany and have an interest in local history? Would you like to learn how to produce oral history programmes or how to archive images and content?

We are looking for someone to fill our Heritage Officer role (Voluntary Role). This person will be responsible for the following: 

⦿ To find and archive historical information on the Village

⦿ To add content to the website here.

⦿ The website is about local history collections and discovers unique articles, photographs, documents, oral histories and personal stories around Delgany.

⦿ You will become a member of the Irish Community Archive Network (ICAN) . This is a great support team with lots of access to training and networks. For more information about it, click here.

⦿ The Heritage officer will be supported by the outgoing officer and DTT members

⦿ The new Heritage office will also brief the new community worker

⦿ The Heritage office will be incharge of any heritage grants or project taken on by DTT

⦿ The Heritage office will also attend DTT meetings 6-8 meetings per year.
