It’s a move our main street SuperValu introduced way back in September 2016, and now, at last, another local supermarket is about to become autism-friendly.
The cheap-as-chips Lidl will now be dimming the lights, killing the music, and generally getting itself into a calm state of mind every Tuesday evening.
Which just happens to be the same evening that SuperValu host their autism-friendly evenings. And their Charlesland sister store are following suit.
Having had a trial run last year, on April 2nd – World Autism Day – the German global discount chain are now introducing their autism-friendly Tuesday evenings right across the country.
Running from 6pm to 8pm, even the till scan sounds will be lowered, whilst autism-assistance dogs will also be welcomed. And if you need any extra help, extra assistance is available upon request. Nice.
