t’s hard to know when the numbers shifted in their favour, but there might just be more dogs and cats around here than people.

Which, given that dogs are the most loving, caring, delirious-go-lucky creatures on the planet, is no bad thing.

Cats, on the other hand, were invented by the French to do their tireless judging work around the globe.

Still, there’s nothing like a tender, loving pet to brighten up a home, and to bring daily happiness to a life. Something that the good people over at Milo’s Mission Rescue are very much aware of. Set up in 2018, the Newtown-based charity sets out to rehabilitate and rehome those four-legged wonders who find themselves between BFFs.

And each week, we’ll be highlighting one of their latest furry bundles of joy looking for a forever family. And this week, it’s Harry!

This is what her foster mum has to say about Harry…

Harry, is a character, loyal, loving, and, full of energy. He likes to play with a ball, he loves chasing his older Foster lurcher brother, and, can literally keep up with him. He can be a little nervous, but, once he’s familiar with his surroundings, he will flourish. He can be easily trained, highly intelligent. When it comes to his meal times, its his food and that’s it, he can be guarded over his human and food. Again, easy to train him out of that. Harry, is very, very, much loved in his Foster home, whatever family is lucky enough to get him, will have a wonderful addition to their family….

We are looking for an experienced home for Harry, adult only or with teenagers age 16 plus. Harry’s breed requires an extremely high level of training, stimulation and exercise. Collies are traditionally working dogs and therefore need to be constantly stimulated and kept busy. The home would need to be very active and someone needs to be at home most of the day with him to keep him occupied and stimulated. In return he will give tonnes of love.
Harry will require a secure garden and would suit a rural setting. He would do well with another established dog in the family.
Harry is fully vaccinated, microchipped and will be neutered when older. Plz message the page if you can provide Harry with the home he needs. No calls or texts. Adoption fee and homecheck applies.
