ell, this is just completely and utterly ranunculus…
It’s the perfect little shop, in a perfect little village, nestled inside a perfect little cottage.
And they sell glorious, tender, sweet-smelling, sorry-about-last-night flowers that can make your whole week. If you’re lucky.
So, how come Cottage Flowers are about to put the petal to the metal and leave town?
With a 33%-off sale throughout August on everything that isn’t drinking water, the bould Andrew Dudley will be shutting up shop in September.
We emailed the man himself after he mentioned it in passing, to find out more, but he might just feel he has nothing more to say. It’s simple economics, baby, and the lockdown would have hit a small, personal family business like this pretty hard.
Andrew tells us he’s “off on a new adventure” – and if it doesn’t quite go to plan, “I’ll be back…“.
For now, go say goodbye to this wonderful little shop on the corner. And say it with flowers.
