Following the rapid growth and reach of Green Greystones in recent months comes a new Facebook group tackling the fine art of never throwing anything away.
As the great philosopher and guru Lord Ringo of Starr always says, one man’s broken drum is another man’s novelty waste basket, and Zero Waste Greystones aims to prove just that.
Having only set up stall just three days ago, membership of the group has already sailed past the 200 mark, with participants encouraged to post items they no longer need, in the hope that this free, former-loved goody might be of great use to someone else.
From dolls still in their boxes and scratched bicycle helmets to hairdryers that don’t yet suck and one very dejected-looking kids poof, this is GABBS without the money-grabs. And it should give everyone that fine Toy Story 3 feeling right in the centre of their soul.
You can join Zero Waste Greystones right about here, and Green Greystones right about here. And, last resort, Bray Recycling Centre here.
