And being able to exercise this most important of muscles whilst also giving quite a few of the others a solid workout might just be about the smartest thing you could do.

With summer camps all over Wicklow, Mathletics 4 Schools will not only have your kid match fit but they’ll also be a whole lot better at the numbers game too.

Which, you know, might just come in handy a little later on in life. When you gotta run. And jump. And figure out why.

Here’s the blurb…

Mathletics 4 Schools is a unique co-curricular programme that combines maths topics with athletic skills in a fun way.

The programme is based on the primary maths curriculum for 1st through to 6th class and has been designed by our experienced maths and athletics team.

Aimed at 6-to-12-year-olds, and costing €75 for the full five days, running from 10am to 2pm, the Mathletics Summer Camp hits Kilcoole from Monday, August 8th to Friday 12th. If that doesn’t fit your jet-set lifestyle, there’s Arklow from July 4th to 8th, alongside Rathnew Soccer Club from July 12th to 15th, July 18th to 22nd, August 8th to 12th and August 15th to 19th. There’s also Bray’s Colaiste Raithin from July 11th to the 15th, July 18th to 22nd, August 8th to 12th and August 15th to 19th. All running from 10am to 2pm, and again, costing just €75 for the full five days.
