It’s pretty incredible, how music can instantly spark deeply-held memories…

And that’s the goal of a new Friday morning gathering at St Patrick’s Parish Centre, where the Memory Lane Music Group will be revisiting hits from the ’50s and ’60s, and beyond.

Organised by Greystones Dementia Friends – led by Fiona Lang and Elaine Harding – these new Friday morning singalongs will be, they say, not only an enjoyable activity, but, they ‘can also provide a way for people with dementia, along with their carers, to express themselves and socialise with others in a fun and supportive group‘.

Taking place from 11.30am to 1pm, alongside the music there will be tea, coffee and biscuits, and anyone interested in taking part should call Elaine on 0868270105 or Fiona on 0868455256.
